Book Description
"Romantic comedy at its best! Hellraiser is hilarious, heart-warming, and downright sizzling. If only reality was this much fun...and hot!"

After a painful divorce that left him a bitter workaholic, Dr. Zach Taylor wants to get as far away from his ex-wife and Los Angeles as possible. He needs a slower pace than the ER he's worked at for several years and thinks his best friend, Tom, has gotten him a position with a geriatric practice in Baltimore. When Zach arrives he discovers that the elderly male doctor he was expecting to find turns out to be a kooky lady pediatrician who loves old TV shows, corny jokes, and wins over her young patients by wearing crazy costumes.

At first Zach is fuming mad, knowing Tom is playing matchmaker and has set him up, but figures the shock treatment will do him some good. Although he's sworn off women until his heart heals, he can't deny that Dr. Sam Winslow makes his mouth water.

AWKWARD!
By The Book Runner
This was so not romantic! The two main characters were just bizarre and their inner and outer dialogue during sex was at the most awkward and at the least annoying. This was just uncomfortable on too many levels.

Zach has just finalized his divorce from his cheating spouse and moved to a new state to start over in a new practice and a new life. He is expecting a geriatric practice with a male doctor and is shocked to find he is now a partner with a young, attractive, yet quirky (loony) female pediatrician, Sam. Trying to keep himself aloof with his moody attitude, he still ultimately succumbs to his obvious attraction and lust for her and they become involved.

Seriously, the things these two think about and say while having sex would be better served for another time. Oh, and the title? What is she referring to - one song Sam is singing at breakfast? It has nothing to do with the story and trust me, neither of these two are what you would consider "hellraisers". This was so unromantic and odd that I removed it from my kindle.

Good story. April in OR

This book was a good story. I liked how Sam and Zach connected when they first meet, the sex was very Hot, I liked the humor. I agree with one of the reviewers that it needed more oomph..like his ex showing up or her ex etc..
My cons: they are pediatricians and had sex in the examination room, I wasn't fond of that, knowing they take care of sick kids in that room. (They live where they worked, they could of gone to their rooms or even the kitchen, yes I know its spur of the moment kind of thing but come on the kids exam room?) Next, I wish it had a better ending, they never really talk about where their relationship is going, it was only implied at the very end. Last, he found out that they weren't really getting paid by certain patients due to the parents lack of income, they paid with food or gifts, he offered to help look for programs to help the poor but you never know anymore than that.

I wouldn't exactly call it a comedy.

I liked this book, better than others of its ilk which I have read lately, simply because it was an entire story and not just an excuse to write about sex. I felt the author did a good job of building her characters within the short confines of the tale. I didn't find Zach to be a very enjoyable character, but the "opposites attract" angle did seem to work. Editing could have been better and it seemed the hotter the action the more mistakes the author made and the editor missed. Now THAT'S comedy.
